Carolyn Janusz

Carolyn Janusz is an Associate Lawyer at Black Gropper, where she practises in the area of workplace law, rep-resenting trade unions and associations, as well as non-unionized parties in the areas of labour, employment, hu-man rights, and workers' compensation law.

Carolyn provides practical, strategic advice on all aspects of the employment relationship, from hiring, discipline, professional standards, disability management, performance management, through to termination. She also advises her clients on proactively minimizing risks and costs through the preparation and negotiation of employment contracts, manuals, and policies.

Carolyn completed a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Laws in International Legal Studies at American University in Washington, D.C. While completing a Bachelor of Laws, Carolyn was granted a summer internship at the International Labour Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, where she worked on the 2007 global report on equality in the workplace. Carolyn has also held a position in the Ontario Ministry of Labour's Summer Co-op Program, where she worked to provide advocacy and legal research for the Ministry of Labour and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. Prior to joining Black Gropper, Carolyn articled and practiced labour law with a firm in Toronto.
