Lisa Addario

Lisa Addario is a full-time member of the CIRB, serving as an employee representative. Prior to her CIRB appointment, she worked for the Public Service Alliance of Canada, initially as legal counsel, focusing on human rights, health and safety, disability insurance and pension related matters, and most recently as Coordinator of the Representation Branch, a position responsible for the management of grievance and adjudication files and their representation by staff officers.

Lisa commenced her 30-year career as a Crown Attorney, prosecuting health and safety violations for the Province of Ontario. During her career, she has also been a provincial adjudicator of employment standards claims and, on several occasions, she has been a delegate to the International Labour Organization on behalf of the Canadian Labour Congress. In 2016, she received the Canadian Bar Association's Touchstone Award for excellence in advancing equality litigation.

Lisa holds a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario (1983) and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School (1986). She is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
