Jacquie de Aguayo

In 2002, Jacquie de Aguayo became in-house counsel and then Coordinator of Representation for the Public Service Alliance of Canada, a national trade union. In 2010, she moved to Vancouver and began working at the Hospital Employees' Union as Legal Director, and was later also appointed as Assistant Secretary Business Manager. Jacquie has appeared before arbitrators, labour relations boards, and courts. She was appointed as a Vice-Chair of the British Columbia Labour Relations Board on March 14, 2014, became the Board’s Registrar on September 1, 2015, and as of August 24, 2017, has been appointed Acting Chair of the Board and the Employment Standards Tribunal.

Jacquie holds a B.A. and an LL.B. from the University of Toronto. She was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1998, and the Bar in Vancouver in 2010.
