Alison Anderson

Alison Anderson is the Director of Occupational Health and Safety for the City of Toronto. Along with her team, she provides leadership for a Safety Culture initiative, Target Zero, and reinforcing worker health and safety as a key corporate priority. In recent years, as the focus has shifted to Mental Health in the workplace, Alison has provided leadership for the City's Mental Health Strategy and for the delivery of Employee Health, Rehabilitation, and Employee Assistance Counselling Services. Prior to this appointment, she headed Human Resources Employment Services. In that capacity, Alison directed the harmonization and development of over 40 Human Resources policies for the amalgamated City. These included the Workplace Violence policy and the initial Human Rights and Harassment policy.

Alison holds a B.Sc. in Life Sciences (1980) and an M.B.A. (1983) from Queen's University.
