Gordon Forsyth

Gordon Forsyth, Q.C., is a partner in the Halifax office of Pink Larkin, where he represents trade unions and employees in labour and employment matters before a variety of administrative tribunals, including the Workers' Compensation Appeal Tribunals in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, the Labour Relations Boards of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, the Construction Industry Panel of Nova Scotia, and the Canada Industrial Relations Board, and before numerous arbitrators appointed either under a collective agreement or statute. He has also represented trade unions in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland courts, and before the Supreme Court of Canada. Gordon has also served as Chair or Co-Chair of the Labour Law Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association in Nova Scotia from 1987 to 1993. He has participated as a member of committees that drafted the Commercial Arbitration Act and the class action legislation for Nova Scotia. Since 1998, he has taught the "Preparation of a Witness" section of the Bar Admission Course for the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society. Gordon was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1984 and the Newfoundland Bar in 1993.
