Vicki Giles is a partner in McLennan Ross' Edmonton office, where she practises employment, labour, and administrative law on behalf of management. She has experience at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and before arbitrators, human rights tribunals, and the Alberta Labour Relations Board. She has extensive experience in defending wrongful dismissal actions and in providing day-to-day advice about terminations, policies and procedures, absenteeism, discipline, performance management, harassment, hiring, and general management of employees. Vicki also practises in the expanding area of privacy law and provides advice to clients with respect to issues such as surveillance, drug and alcohol testing, the implementation of privacy policies, and responding to access requests. Vicki attended the University of Alberta, where she obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in 1994. She then earned a Bachelor of Laws in 1997 and was called to the Alberta Bar in 1998.
