Joël Michaud is a partner with Field Law in Edmonton, Alberta. Joël's practice is focused on human rights, labour, and employment law. He represents clients before grievance and interest arbitrators, as well as other administrative tribunals, including the Alberta Human Rights Commission, the Canadian Human Rights Commission, and the Alberta Labour Relations Board. Joël has appeared before the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court of Queen's Bench in wrongful dismissal and judicial review matters.
Joël is on the executive of the Canadian Bar Association's Labour and Employment Law Section (North), and he is on the board of directors of the French-speaking Lawyer's Association of Alberta. Before attending law school, Joël spent three years in the federal public service, working in several capacities, including managerial. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2006 and the Alberta Bar in 2007.
