Devyn Cousineau

Devyn Cousineau is legal counsel with the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal, where she also acts as a mediator. Prior to joining the Tribunal, she worked in private non-profit practice, in the areas of human rights, labour and employment law, and housing. Devyn is a frequent contributor to continuing legal education programs and law reform initiatives, and is currently a member of the Employment Standards Act Reform Project Committee at the British Columbia Law Institute.

Devyn clerked for Madam Justice Jo-Ann Prowse at the British Columbia Court of Appeal, and for the Honourable Rosalie Silberman Abella at the Supreme Court of Canada. She has represented clients before various administrative tribunals and at every level of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada. Devyn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from McGill University, and an LL.B. from the University of Victoria.
