Laura Ross

Laura Ross currently works as an Employment Relations Officer for the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC). She represents the interests of PIPSC members in a wide range of labour relations matters, notably related to human rights, staffing, health and safety, and administrative investigations. Laura routinely advocates on behalf of union members in governmental dispute resolution processes and has also appeared before the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board, and Ontario's Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal. She also facilitates training courses for stewards. Laura is presently co-chair of a PIPSC and Treasury Board Secretariat committee making recommendations regarding workplace supports for victims of domestic violence. Prior to working at PIPSC, Laura articled at a union-side labour law firm and worked as a researcher on projects related to dispute resolution, the duty to accommodate, and collective bargaining.

Laura holds a B.B.A. from the University of New Brunswick and an LL.B. from the University of Ottawa's French Common Law Program. She was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2009.
