Allison Williams

Dr. Allison Williams is trained as a social scientist, specializing in caregiving, and critical policy/program evaluation. She currently is a professor at McMaster University, where she has an active program of research addressing caregiver-friendly policies and program interventions. Allison's experience working in the policy-making domain positions her to advocate for policy and practice improvements at the national, provincial, and local levels, while informing international policy. In addition to having expertise in community-based research, she has employed novel knowledge translation strategies and has built strong collaborative partnerships with organizations representing unpaid caregivers, occupational health, and labour.
