Barry Winograd

Barry Winograd is an arbitrator and mediator of labour and employment cases, as well as business and other civil disputes. Since 1988, he has maintained a full-time dispute resolution practice, and has written a number of articles for legal journals. Barry is a current member and former vice-president of the National Academy of Arbitrators, is listed on the rosters of dispute resolution organizations and federal and state courts, and serves as a permanent arbitrator on panels established by labour-management collective bargaining agreements. Since 1985, he has been on the adjunct law school faculty at the University of California, Berkeley where he teaches labour law, arbitration, and mediation courses. Barry has also taught at the University of Michigan. Additionally, he has served as an administrative law judge for the California Public Employment Relations Board, and acted as an attorney for the United Farm Workers of America.

Barry holds a B.A. from the University of California, and a J.D. and LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. He was called to the State Bar of California in 1972.
