Wilson Chan

Wilson Chan is a Partner at Mathews Dinsdale & Clark LLP. He is a trusted advisor and experienced litigator who has focused his practice on all aspects of the employee-employer relationship. This includes conducting workplace investigations, counselling on privacy and cybersecurity related matters, advising employers on all aspects of workplace law, including wrongful dismissal claims, workers' compensation and occupational health and safety matters, labour board and grievance arbitrations and human rights and privacy complaints. Wilson is experienced in trial, appellate and arbitral work and has successfully appeared before the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta, the Court of Appeal of Alberta, as well as a number of quasi-judicial bodies.

Wilson's workplace investigation practice has taken him all across Canada, including some of the most remote regions in the country. There, he has assisted in workplace investigations on behalf of healthcare providers, oil and gas producers, law enforcement, school boards, sport associations, First Nations, and other small- to large-scale employers. Wilson holds a B.A. as well as a Certificate in Globalization and Governance from the University of Alberta, as well as a J.D. from the University of Calgary, where he was Valedictorian of his class.
