Standard Fees for Cancellation

$3,500 for each day of hearing; $500 file fee for cancelled hearings with greater than four weeks' notice; $1,500 cancellation fee for each date cancelled with less than four weeks' notice ($600 for the cancellation of the first day of expedited hearings, i.e. LRA s.48 or s. 49 hearings; regular cancellation fees apply for continuation dates). Parties will also be charged for costs, including meeting rooms, travel outside of the GTA, as well as HST.

Related Adjudication Experience

Currently, I am a part-time member of the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO) (since January 2015). I have also been a part-time member of the Public Service Grievance Board (1994-1998) and the Human Rights Board of Inquiry (1994-1998); a member of the HRTO Advisory Practice Committee; and I served as the Law Society of Upper Canada's representative on the Ontario Judicial Council from 2009-2013.


Member of the Ontario Labour Management Arbitrators' Association (OLMAA) and the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers (CABL). Also the previous Board Chair of the Equality Effect (a legal charitable organization that has litigated on behalf of women and children). Past affiliations include the National Legal Committee of the Women's Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF), the Canadian Bar Association, the Association of Human Rights Lawyers, and the National Association of Women and the Law (NAWL).
