Standard Fees for Cancellation

• If cancellation or postponement occurs more than 20 days prior to the scheduled event, there is no charge except for fees for time spent on case management.
• If cancellation or postponement occurs between 20 days and 7 days of the event, the cancellation fee is $1,000.00 for the first scheduled day, $500.00 for each subsequent scheduled day, in addition to fees for time spent on case management and all disbursements incurred to that point for travel, accommodation, videoconferencing and facilities that cannot be mitigated.
• If cancellation or postponement occurs within 7 calendar days of the event, the cancellation fee is $1,200 per scheduled day, in addition to fees for time spent on case management and all disbursements incurred to that point for travel, accommodation, videoconferencing and facilities that cannot be mitigated.
• If date is used by same parties for another hearing, no charge for original arbitration cancellation except for expenses incurred and time spent on case management.
• Fees pursuant to the Expedited Arbitration Fee structure in NB: If cancelled on the day prior to or the day of the hearing, the fee will not exceed $1000.00.  Otherwise, cancellation fees will not exceed $500.00.  In addition, unavoidable travel expenses incurred as a result of the cancellation will be permitted.  Those travel expenses are not to exceed $500.00 in total.
