Crystal Norbeck

Crystal Norbeck is a partner at Gerrand Rath Johnson LLP. Crystal grew up in Regina, and she practised law in Edmonton for five years before returning to Regina in 2007 to take a position as counsel for the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE). Crystal joined Gerrand Rath Johnson in the fall of 2012 and became a partner in 2014.

Crystal practises primarily administrative law and civil litigation, with a focus on labour, human rights, and employment law. Crystal acts as counsel to unions and employees on a wide range of labour and employment law issues and has appeared before the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board and arbitration boards, as well as before all levels of court in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Crystal is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers, and the Regina Bar Association. She has chaired and presented at conferences and speaking events for lawyers and for members of the public on various topics, including human rights, social media, and addictions.

Crystal holds a Bachelor of Human Justice from the University of Regina (1998) and an LL.B. from the University of Alberta (2002). She was called to the Alberta Bar in 2003.
