Justin Diggle

Justin Diggle is a human resources lawyer and advisor to employers and has been working with the Region of Peel since April 2018. In his dual legal and human resources role as Manager, Employee and Labour Relations/Senior Legal Counsel, Justin advises the organization on labour, employment, human rights, and health and safety matters, serves as the Region's collective bargaining spokesperson, and heads a human resources team that is, among other things, responsible for the Region's workplace harassment and discrimination investigations and grievance resolution.

Prior to joining the Region of Peel, Justin served as legal counsel (labour and employment) at the LCBO for nine years, after leaving private practice as a management labour and employment lawyer in 2009. Outside of his practice, Justin has taught in the Department of Political Science at Wilfrid Laurier University for almost 20 years.

Justin holds an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School, an M.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a B.A. (Hons.) from the University of Guelph. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2000.
