Mihad Fahmy

Mihad Fahmy is a human rights and labour law lawyer based in London, Ontario. Mihad conducts workplace investigations and provides consultancy services regarding HR policies and procedures, with a particular focus on complaints processes. In her human rights practice, she represents individuals before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and regularly advises individuals, not-for-profits, and small businesses regarding their rights and obligations under human rights legislation and policies. As union counsel for over 15 years, Mihad handled grievances in a variety of sectors including colleges and health care.

Mihad is also a part-time adjunct professor at Huron, Western University. She currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Muslim Resource Centre for Social Support and Integration, and she continues to speak and write on issues of religious accommodation, equity, and inclusion.

Mihad holds an LL.B. and an LL.M. with a focus on minority rights and constitutional law from Queen's University. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 1997.
