Sarah is a lawyer by training with a strong background in sales, client relations, and business development. She brings a proven track record of building lasting relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving business growth. Her legal training, combined with her sales and client-focused experience, allows her to bring a strategic and practical perspective to her work.

Sarah holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Toronto, an Honours LL.B. from the University of London, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University.

Shiplu Talukder is a Senior Web Developer and Digital Communications professional with over 15 years of experience building enterprise websites and digital solutions for government, financial, healthcare, and corporate organizations. He holds a Diploma in Graphic Design from George Brown College and a Certificate in Web Design, Development and Maintenance from Humber College. His expertise includes WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, UX/UI design, accessibility (AODA/WCAG), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, technical SEO, and digital strategy. He has successfully delivered high-performing web solutions for organizations including RBC, Bell Canada, AGCO, CAMH, and several Ontario government ministries. He is currently working for Lancaster House as a Senior Web Developer.

Ethan is a results-driven marketer with extensive experience overseeing global promotional campaigns. Data-driven and obsessed with copywriting, he has managed the marketing operations for organizations ranging from boutique startups to household names.

Patti joined Lancaster House in 2023. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and later went on to study Web Design at McMaster CCE. In her spare time, Patti enjoys listening to music, playing guitar, learning languages, and urban hiking.

Jacqui joined Lancaster House in 2019. She has a B.A. in Economics from Queen’s University and earned her law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School. A former lawyer, she worked in the non-profit sector for over 20 years as a communications and engagement director before joining the Lancaster team. In her free time, Jacqui can be found digging in her garden, baking, and camping waaaay up north.

Caitlin Selman joined Lancaster House in 2018. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Carleton University with majors in Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication and a minor in Art History. She also holds an Advanced TESOL Certificate as an instructor for young students and has taught English as a Second Language (ESL) in South Korea. Having grown up on Lake Simcoe, Caitlin is an avid fan of the outdoors and its beautiful waterscapes. She is a proud breast cancer survivor and an advocate for well-being and mental health.

Jeffrey Sack, K.C. practices labour law and acts as a union nominee on interest arbitration boards. As a litigator he argued the Lavigne case in the Supreme Court of Canada, which upheld the constitutional validity of the Rand (agency) formula and (contrary to U.S. jurisprudence) confirmed the right of unions to use union dues for political causes. He also argued the first case upholding the right to strike under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, which was relied upon by the Supreme Court of Canada in its recent Saskatchewan Federation of Labour decision. As a negotiator, Jeffrey has bargained with the government for physicians, and with hospitals for residents. As a union nominee on interest arbitration boards he has represented, among others, firefighters, college and university faculty, and health care support staff. As an adjunct professor, he lectures on international labour law at the University of Toronto and acts as Associate Editor of the Canadian Labour and Employment Law Journal. Jeffrey is the recipient of the Gérard Dion Award from the Canadian Industrial Relations Association (CIRA) for outstanding contributions to Canadian labour law and the Bora Laskin Award from the University of Toronto Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources.

Monica joined Lancaster House as a Research Associate in 2021. She holds a PhD in Human Geography from Laurier University and a Master’s degree from Queen’s University of Belfast. She has vast experience in conducting different types of research, qualitative and quantitative; and enjoys exploring new ways to obtain and analyse data. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, reading, and travelling back to Mexico, where she’s originally from.

Makila joined Lancaster House in January of 2020 as a Client Service and Database Representative. She graduated from York University in June of 2019, with a B.A., Honours degree in International Development Studies. In her free time, she enjoys baking, travelling, and reading.

Before commencing her employment with Lancaster House, Livia Peszt practiced primarily in family law, which included litigation and Collaborative Family Law. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2013 and articled with an employment/labour law boutique firm in Toronto. She thereafter worked for LexisNexis as a Legal Editor for a year. While practicing law, Livia was the co-author of a family law legal textbook published by Thomson Reuters entitled “Vulnerable Persons: Protection and Remedies in Canada“. Livia has always had a passion for managing projects and developing educational presentations and programs, which she has done since law school and throughout her legal career. Livia recently decided to transition outside of the practice of law and is excited to work for Lancaster House to help develop programming for lawyers. She graduated Queen’s Law School in 2012 and previously attended the University of Toronto where she studied political science. Livia enjoys all things related to fitness and spending time in nature, and enjoys exploring new places with her family.

Cossette holds a Master of Arts in English from Carleton University and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Book and Magazine Publishing from Centennial College. She has long held an interest in editorial work and the law’s connection to human rights. Before coming to Lancaster House in 2023, Cossette completed an internship with Emond Publishing and volunteered with the Innocence Project at Osgoode Hall Law School for two consecutive summers. Outside of work, she loves musicals, horror movies, and annual marathons of the Lord of the Rings.

Seòna joined Lancaster House as Assistant Editor, Conferences in 2023. She graduated from McMaster University with a B.A. in English and Cultural Studies and has a certificate in publishing. Outside of working hours, Seòna can be found cuddling her dog and reading a fantasy novel (the longer, the better).
