Stéphanie (Steph) Kepman is a bilingual labour and employment lawyer with extensive experience in workplace disputes, administrative justice, and tribunal adjudication. Originally from Montreal, Quebec, Steph has built her career within Ontario’s labour and administrative justice systems.
Steph previously served for six years as a bilingual member and vice-chair with Tribunals Ontario, presiding over hearings and issuing written decisions on matters across the province. Her adjudicative experience included assessing complex evidence and submissions, addressing issues of procedural fairness, and applying legislation and caselaw to disputes involving competing workplace and legal interests. She also brings substantial experience in mediation and alternative dispute resolution.
Steph currently practises labour and employment law with the Association of Professors of the University of Ottawa, representing professors and providing advice and advocacy on a broad range of workplace and labour relations issues. Her practice gives her a practical perspective on both the legal framework and the realities of workplace disputes.
Steph holds both an LL.L. and a J.D. and is committed to bilingual, accessible justice, and practical legal education. She particularly enjoys helping lawyers and workplace professionals translate legal principles into effective strategies to address discrimination, harassment, discipline, and workplace conflict.
