Chantal Homier is a fully bilingual labour arbitrator, mediator, and workplace investigator, and the founder of Homier Arbitration & Mediation. She brings over 20 years of experience in labour and employment law, human rights, and dispute resolution in the public and private sectors. She is also listed on the roster of arbitrators of the Grievance Settlement Board.
Ms. Homier previously served for 10 years as a full-time Board member with the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board, where she adjudicated labour grievances, collective agreement disputes, unfair labour practice complaints, human rights matters, and staffing complaints. She also mediated hundreds of workplace disputes.
Before becoming an adjudicator, Ms. Homier held senior legal and leadership positions with one of Canada’s largest trade unions and practised law at boutique firms. She has represented unions, employees, and employers before arbitrators, tribunals. and courts at all levels.
Ms. Homier holds an LL.M. from Osgoode Hall Law School and LL.B. and LL.L. degrees from the University of Ottawa’s National Program. She is called to the Ontario Bar and is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario. She is also a member of OLMAA, AJEFO, and SOAR, and conducts matters in English and French.
