Chantelle MacDonald, KC, Q. Arb., is a lawyer and neutral arbitrator, adjudicator, mediator and independent workplace investigator with Chantelle MacDonald, KC Law, and a part-time vice-chair of the Labour Relations Board of Newfoundland and Labrador. Called to the bar in 1995, she spent much of her career with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, where she was the province’s first lawyer dedicated exclusively to employment and labour matters and later served as Assistant Deputy Minister of Legal Services, Human Resources, and Resource Enforcement Division. As counsel, she appeared before labour arbitrators, the Labour Relations Board, and courts at every level, including the Supreme Court of Canada.

Chantelle holds the Qualified Arbitrator designation from the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada (ADRIC), is an International Mediation Institute Qualified Mediator, and holds an Advanced Workplace Investigations Certificate from Osgoode Hall. A regular presenter and facilitator, she co-chaired the 2026 Lancaster House Atlantic Labour Law Conference, has facilitated this course since 2025, and also instructs the Dispute Resolution section of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Bar Admission course.
