He/Him
Chris King is a partner in McInnes Cooper’s St. John’s office who practises exclusively labour and employment law. He advises businesses, governments, institutional, and non-profit entities on all aspects for effectively managing their workforce, including: pre-employment screening, workplace health and safety and respectful work environments, conducting workplace investigations, imposing disciplinary measures, accommodating disabilities, workplace privacy, human rights issues, collective bargaining, collective agreement administration, and management of strikes and lockouts.
Chris believes in a close working relationship with clients, aimed at solving labour and employment problems creatively and avoiding adjudication wherever possible. Where adjudication is unavoidable, however, Chris has significant experience and a record of success representing employers in human rights complaints, wrongful dismissal suits, grievance arbitration, judicial review, and labour board hearings. Chris was appointed King’s Counsel in 2020.
