Dr. Ken Reesor received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of British Columbia after undertaking pre-doctoral training at the Workers’ Compensation Board of B.C. and The Rehabilitation Centre, Ottawa Hospital. He has held a staff position at The Rehabilitation Centre and then as Assistant Director of Psychology at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus. He has held appointment to the Medical Staff of the Ottawa Hospital as well as appointments in the Schools of Medicine, Psychology, and Graduate Studies and Research at the University of Ottawa.

He has sat on the executive board of the Canadian Academy of Psychologists in Disability Assessment (CAPDA), the WSIB Pre-1990 Claims Advisory Committee in Ottawa, and was a past president of the Ottawa Academy of Psychology. He is a member/associate member of various professional organizations including the Canadian Board of Professional Psychology (CBPP), Ontario Psychological Association (OPA), Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology (CRHSPP), Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators (CSME), and American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology (AACN).

Over his 40 year career, Dr. Reesor has been an invited speaker, consultant, trainer, assessor, and/or provider of therapy services with/to various organizations including the National Institute of Disability Management and Rehabilitation Research (NIDMAR), Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Medical Services Branch of Health Canada, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (CARP), Canadian Institute of Life Care Planners, County of Carleton Law Association, RCMP, and Department of National Defense. He has provided legal and tribunal testimony opinions for plaintiff, defence, and crown attorneys and has been declared an expert witness in the province of Ontario.

The majority of his clinical services have been provided to individuals who have sustained personal injury (including transportation injuries; historical sexual abuse; medical/dental malpractice; animal attacks; toxic exposure; and workplace harassment); security/military/police personnel; and individuals with mental/behavioral disorders. He has particular interest in: occupational accommodation/restoration/rehabilitation; vocational capacity/disability determinations; current and future treatment needs assessments; and accommodation determinations with these populations.

Dr. Reesor is on the permanent registry with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario, with competency in the areas of Clinical Neuropsychology, Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology, and Rehabilitation Psychology. He is certified to undertake determinations for mental behavioral impairment C-CAT (MB) and medical legal evaluations [CMLE (ON)] through CBPP and CSME.
