In her role as manager for the Return-to-Work Compliance Team at WorkSafeBC, Jackie Christofferson provides guidance to staff and stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the new Bill 41 legislation involving the duty to cooperate and duty to maintain employment which came into effect on January 1, 2024.

Prior to taking on her new role, Jackie was a manager in practice and quality support services where she provided guidance to directors, managers, and staff to assist in the implementation of divisional strategies, policies, and practices. Jackie’s journey at WorkSafeBC began in the Review Division as a review officer. Her diverse background also includes a successful career as a child protection lawyer and civil litigator.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jackie contributes her insights to various boards, including the White Rock Farmers’ Market and as Chair of Governance for an independent school.
