Jake Axelrod is a partner at Nugent Law Office, where he practices labour and employment law. Jakes advises unions and employees across various industries in both the private and public sectors on a wide range of workplace issues. He appears before grievance arbitrators, Labour Relations Boards in multiple provinces, all levels of Court in Alberta, and other tribunals. While most of Jake’s practice involves labour matters in unionized contexts, he acts for non-union employees as well regarding dismissals, discrimination issues, non-competition clauses, benefits claims, and other employment matters. Jake is also a sessional instructor at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, where he teaches labour arbitration.

Jake holds a J.D. from the University of Victoria, and a B.A. and M.I.R. from Queen’s University.
