She/Her

Justina Sebastiampillai is an associate practising labour and employment law at Stikeman Elliott LLP. She was called to the bar in both British Columbia and Alberta. In addition to general labour and employment law matters under provincial and federal jurisdiction, her practice focuses on representing and advising private and public sector employers on issues relating to human rights, bullying and harassment, discipline/terminations, privacy, collective agreement negotiation, interpretation and administration, and grievances. Justina also has experience representing and advising unions in relation to labour issues and labour board proceedings.

Justina has appeared before various levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as before arbitration boards and administrative tribunals in Alberta and British Columbia. She is experienced in advancing cases to hearing, as well as in reaching favourable outcomes for her clients through mediation and other methods of alternative dispute resolution where litigation can be avoided.

Before joining Stikeman Elliott LLP in 2023, Justina spent six years practising at a boutique litigation firm in Vancouver, where she represented clients in complex and high-profile constitutional law, administrative law, and labour law cases.
