Kat Leonard is a National Representative with Unifor coming out of the media sector. Initially hired by City TV in general production, through a series of corporate acquisitions she landed in accessibility doing closed captioning and described video at CTV Bell Media. She has a Certificate in Labour Law from Osgoode Hall Law School and has participated as an activist in numerous campaigns for workers rights, human rights, and policy reform. Kat currently represents union members in collective bargaining, grievance handling, arbitrations, and labour relations covering a variety of workplaces from both private and public sectors including warehousing, manufacturing, energy, facility operations, hospitality and healthcare.
