For decades, disability advocate Lorin MacDonald has championed inclusion nationwide, drawing on her legal expertise and lived experience with profound hearing loss. Her impact includes developing Toronto Metropolitan University’s pioneering Disability Law course. MacDonald’s achievements have earned prestigious recognition: the Law Society of Ontario Medal, Canadian Disability Hall of Fame induction, Order of Ontario and Order of Canada memberships, and the Ontario Human Rights Commission’s Daniel G. Hill Human Rights Award for distinguished service.
