Michelle McCann is a Nova Scotia lawyer practising since 2010, with a focus on labour, employment, human rights, occupational health and safety, and not-for-profit law. She currently practises as a full-time member of the Labour Law Group at Nova Scotia Health, which also provides labour law services to the IWK Health Centre. Her practice includes representing Nova Scotia Health and IWK at collective bargaining, essential service negotiations, labour arbitrations, labour mediations, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal hearings, and human rights tribunals, as well as providing daily legal advice to the employers’ People Services teams. In her downtime, when not travelling, Michelle chauffeurs her two daughters around the Maritimes for their competitive sports, is a Guide leader, and advises not-for-profit organizations on law and governance matters.
