She/Her
Roberta started RJ Mediation Services out of a passion for people, particularly people experiencing intrapersonal conflict. She comes to mediation from practical experience in both union and management positions. Throughout her 20+ years serving communities and organizations in conflict resolution, team development, and negotiations, Roberta approaches conflict without fear and is prepared to ask difficult questions. She brings competence and professionalism with a wink of humour, to her ability to speak directly and firmly into disagreement. Her approach to both people and circumstances draws connections that aren’t easily understood or recognized, bringing insight to develop space for them to find creative solutions.
Roberta sees mediation as a flexible tool – drawing from practical, narrative, and transformative approaches – to address conflict and find solutions. A significant portion of her work experience has been focused in healthcare, non-profit, and with faith-based organizations.
Roberta pursued her mediation certification in Ontario as a complement to her education in psychology, training in crisis and distress counselling, and experience in high crisis workplaces. She has her Certificate in Conflict Management and Mediation with Conrad Grebel, University Waterloo, and is an ADRIO/ADRIC member.
