Sarah Mackay advises, represents, and advocates for employers on a wide variety of employment and labour law matters. She began her career with Sherrard Kuzz LLP as a law student, during which time she participated in a secondment with the Ontario Labour Relations Board.
In addition to both civil litigation and tribunal advocacy, Sarah’s practice includes advising both unionized and non-unionized employers in areas such as: policy development and implementation; human rights and accommodation; attendance management; compensation and benefit plans; management training; and workplace investigations.
Sarah leads and participates in collective bargaining, interest arbitration, and grievance arbitration for both private and public sector employers across a variety of industries.
Sarah sits as a member of the Board of Directors of Support Ontario Youth.
Sarah obtained her Juris Doctor from Queen’s University and holds an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, Canadian Bar Association, and Ontario Bar Association (Administrative Law, Civil Litigation, Labour & Employment Law, Workers’ Compensation, Constitutional, Civil Liberties & Human Rights, Privacy and Access to Information Law).
