Sharon Cartmill-Lane is a managing director of Pearlman Lindholm in Victoria, B.C. As counsel, Sharon provides advice on all aspects of labour and employment law, primarily on behalf of employers, in matters pertaining to human rights, wrongful dismissal litigation, labour arbitrations, illness and disability issues in the workplace, corporate reorganizations, employment standards issues, the development and implementation of employment policies, and training on respectful and healthy workplaces.

A large portion of her practice is devoted to conducting and advising on workplace investigations regarding various matters for both public and private sector organizations. Sharon has been conducting workplace investigations for over a decade and has 28 years of experience in the areas of human rights and labour and employment law. She has conducted large-scale, complex and highly sensitive investigations on behalf of large public and private sector clients (union and non-union) with diverse workforces in terms of jobs, skills, and demographics.

Representing clients in both private and public sectors, Sharon has appeared before the Superior Courts of British Columbia, Alberta, and Manitoba, as well as before administrative tribunals, including provincial and federal Human Rights Tribunals; labour arbitrators; and the Labour Relations Boards of British Columbia, Alberta, and Manitoba. She regularly speaks on labour and employment matters and has been a guest speaker at numerous events. She has been called to the Bar in B.C., Alberta, and Manitoba.
