Terry Sway is currently the Associate Director of Operations for the Non-Academic Staff Association at the University of Alberta. Additionally, he serves as the Labour Relations Advisor for the Bow Valley College Faculty Association, the NorQuest College Faculty Association, and Post Doctoral Fellows Association, University of Calgary.
Terry has negotiated about 150 collective agreements and has represented members in hundreds of grievances. Terry has served as the union’s nominee on arbitration boards for grievance and interest arbitrations and has presented for the union at many interest arbitrations.
In 2016, Terry was awarded the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT) Donald C. Savage Award for his significant contributions to collective bargaining in post-secondary education.
