Trish Appleyard is the Director of Labour Relations at College Employer Council (CEC), where she provides strategic guidance and practical advice to the public college sector on a broad range of labour relations, human resources, and human rights matters. She also plays a key role in supporting and coordinating collective bargaining across the sector, helping institutions navigate negotiations, and maintain constructive labour relationships.

Prior to joining CEC, Trish practised as a labour and employment lawyer with Baker & McKenzie. She later served as Associate Director at Queen’s University Faculty of Law, working with the Centre for Law in the Contemporary Workplace, before moving to St. Lawrence College, where she held the role of Associate Director, Workplace Relations.

Trish holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary, as well as a Master of Industrial Relations and a Juris Doctor from Queen’s University. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
