Kirsten Scrimshaw is the founder of Ally Workplace Law and has over 20 years’ experience practising employment and labour law. Kirsten’s practice covers a full range of workplace issues, including: discipline; terminations; wrongful and constructive dismissals; human rights issues; disability claims and accommodation; agreement interpretation; and workers’ compensation issues (including workplace bullying and harassment). Kirsten has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia and has acted as counsel at a variety of administrative tribunals including the Human Rights Tribunal, Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal (WCAT), Employment Standards Tribunal, the Labour Relations Board, and arbitration boards. Kirsten is often called in to give advice as part of her clients’ workplace safety obligations and conducts independent investigations. She is the founder and Co-Chair of the Canadian Bar Association BC Branch’s (CBABC) Workplace Investigations Section, and a member of the CBABC Provincial Council.
