Marilynn Dee is a registered nurse and Manager of Negotiations at the Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA). ONA is Canada’s largest nurses’ union that represents more than 68,000 nurses and health-care professionals working in hospitals, long-term care, public health, community, clinics, industry, family health teams, community health centres, and home care. A graduate from St. Lawrence College with a diploma in nursing, Marilynn earned a certificate in Labour Relations and Leadership Excellence from Queen’s University, Industrial Relations Centre.

Marilynn is chief spokesperson at provincial bargaining tables for hospitals and the Victorian Order of Nurses. Additionally, she provides expert guidance and strategy to labour relations staff in negotiating first collective agreements and collective agreements for sectors where provincial bargaining does not exist, including presenting in front of Boards of Arbitration. With mergers becoming more prominent in Ontario’s health-care sector, Marilynn is an expert in merger agreements, mergers of bargaining units under the Public Sector Labour Relations Transition Act and actions related to organizing new groups.

Marilynn has two daughters and lives in Kingston, Ontario with her husband. One daughter is a registered nurse for the Public Health Agency of Canada and her other daughter is pursuing a doctorate in veterinary medicine at Ross University in St. Kitts and Nevis.
