Lucas Mapplebeck is a partner at Filion Wakely Throup Angeletti LLP and has been with the firm, exclusively representing employer clients, since 2016.
Lucas represents employers in all areas of labour and employment law, with a particular emphasis on labour relations, privacy law compliance, and employment litigation. Lucas is well versed in workplace accommodation issues as he regularly advises clients on human rights law and liability.
Lucas primarily litigates representing employers before the courts and various administrative tribunals in all areas of labour and employment law. Lucas has argued before the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Divisional Court, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, and other administrative tribunals. Lucas also regularly represents clients in collective bargaining negotiations and interest arbitration. In addition, Lucas has a passion for legal education, having previously worked as a middle school teacher and college instructor.
Lucas holds a B.A. (Honours) and a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University and a J.D. from Windsor University. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2018.
