Daniel Weber is a partner in McLennan Ross LLP’s Edmonton office and the co-chair of the Labour and Employment Practice Group. He provides strategic legal advice and representation in all areas of labour and employment. Daniel is particularly skilled in advising clients with respect to wrongful dismissal, human rights, and labour relations matters.
A courtroom veteran, Daniel has represented clients in trials before the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta and the Provincial Court of Alberta. He has also appeared before a multitude of administrative bodies, including arbitration panels and the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board, Alberta Labour Relations Board, Workers’ Compensation Board, Dispute Resolution Decision Review Body, Appeals Commission, Alberta Human Rights Tribunal, Employment Standards Program Delivery, and the Social Security Tribunal of Canada. Daniel’s broad in-house experience coupled with his extensive litigation background makes him well-suited to lead litigation and advise on an array of labour and employment matters as well as independent contractor agreements and human resource policies.
Daniel holds a B.A. from Simon Fraser University and a J.D from the University of Alberta. He was called to the Alberta Bar in 2013.
