She/Her

Geneviève Debané has extensive experience as a bilingual arbitrator and mediator, specializing in labour and employment law. For more than a decade, she worked as a lawyer at a well-known Toronto firm, providing advice and legal representation to employers regarding their obligations under various provincial and federal laws, including labour relations, employment standards, human rights, and privacy. Subsequently, she took a neutral position, serving as a full-time vice-chair at the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario before moving on to the Ontario Labour Relations Board.

Currently, in addition to her role as an arbitrator and mediator, she also holds a part-time position as vice-chair at the Ontario Labour Relations Board and serves as an external adjudicator at the Canada Industrial Relations Board. With her extensive experience as a neutral third party, she actively adjudicates cases to reduce litigation costs and excels at helping parties reach mediated settlements to resolve disputes.
