Megan Tweedie is the director of the Human Rights Office at Simon Fraser University, where she oversees the administration of the university’s human rights policy and provides legal advice and community-wide education on human rights. She is a lawyer experienced in human rights, employment, and public interest law.
Megan graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2010. She completed her articles and began her legal practice in the litigation group of a national law firm. She went on to practice employment and human rights law for several years, appearing at various levels of court and before administrative tribunals. She also acted as senior litigation counsel at a civil liberties association, and as a lawyer and program manager at an organization dedicated to providing free legal help to low-income individuals.
