She/Her

Paulette DeKelver has been dealing with issues of people, conflict, and wellness for 20 years as a litigation lawyer before the courts, arbitration panels, and administrative tribunals. The focus of her practice was medical malpractice, disability claims, and labour and employment.

At the end of 2022, Paulette concluded her litigation practice to focus exclusively on a neutral career. She has been working in collective bargaining mediation across industries and sectors. She continues to build her neutral practice in labour arbitration.

Curiosity and belief in education fuel Paulette’s passion for teaching and public speaking. She is on the instructional team at the University of Alberta, Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), and ADR Learning Institute. Courses delivered include Labour Relations, Arbitration, Mediation, Advanced Mediation, Negotiation, Conflict Resolution, Anger’s Role in Conflict, and others. She is a frequent presenter and podcast guest.

Recharging is important to Paulette, and she is deeply connected to the mountains. Backcountry hiking and camping refuel her and help her bring her best to life’s challenges.
