Adam Norget is the Director of HR Legal Services and Legal Counsel for the Edmonton Police Service. Prior to joining the EPS, Adam spent several years working as a private practice lawyer with specialization in the areas of labour and employment, where he litigated a broad spectrum of legal matters for clients in a wide variety of sizes and industries across eight different Canadian jurisdictions. In his current role, Adam maintains a specialized legal practice in the areas of labour, employment, and human rights law, and provides strategic advice and direction in relation to collective bargaining, labour relations, and policy development.

In 2021, Adam was formally certified by the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety and the Federal Labour Program as an accredited Federal Workplace Investigator pursuant to the Canada Labour Code. He regularly performs independent workplace investigations for a variety of federally regulated employers.

Adam also has a passion for pro bono community work. Since 2019, Adam has served as the chair of the Voice of the Profession Committee on behalf of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Bar Association – Alberta Branch, which represents the interests of over 5,000 lawyers, judges, legal academics, and law students across Alberta. Since 2012, Adam has volunteered with the Civil Claims Duty Counsel Project at the Alberta Court of Justice, where he provides pro bono legal advice primarily to disadvantaged members of the Edmonton community.
