Andrew Sims arbitrates and mediates labour, human rights, and employment disputes throughout Canada and has practised labour law for over 45 years. He chaired the Alberta Labour Relations Board from 1985 to 1994 and remained a Vice-Chair until 2014. He is Chair of the Alberta Order of Excellence Council.Andrew has also served as Chair of the Public Service Employee Relations Board and as the part-time Vice-Chair of the Canada Industrial Relations Board. He chaired the 1996 Task Force to review the Canada Labour Code, and in 2011, he received the Bora Laskin Award for his contribution to Canadian labour law. In 2019, he received the W.P. Kelly Award for Lifetime Achievement as a Labour Mediator.Andrew holds a B.A. and an LL.B. from the University of Alberta.
