Brett Christen has practised labour law on behalf of management for 35 years. He has argued many hundreds of cases on behalf of employers before arbitrators, labour boards and other administrative tribunals, and the courts. He often acts as chief spokesperson at collective bargaining negotiations for employers and as the employer nominee on interest arbitration boards. Brett regularly represents private sector clients in manufacturing, transportation, retail, information technology, and other sectors. In the public sector, Brett has represented municipalities, utilities, hospitals, railways, and federal and provincial Crown corporations.

Brett has been certified as a Specialist in Labour Law by the Law Society of Upper Canada since 1998 and is recognized in Lexpert, Best Lawyers, Chambers, and Martindale and Hubble. He is a founding partner of Rae Christen Jeffries LLP, a labour and employment law boutique which has repeatedly been recognized for excellence since its establishment in 2018.

Brett attended St. Mary’s University and Dalhousie Law School in Halifax.
