Christie Stephenson has been the executive director of the Peter P. Dhillon Centre for Business Ethics at the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business since 2016. Previously, she spent more than 15 years working at ESG investing firms: specifically, Sustainalytics, NEI Investments, and Rally Assets.

Christie also has more than two decades of diverse director experience, serving on the boards of companies in a range of industries, across the spectrum from start-ups to large mature entities, and with both business-to-consumer and business-to-business operating models, as well as non-profit organizations, university governance bodies, and a multi-employer pension plan.

She is currently a director of Vancity, one of Canada’s largest financial cooperatives, and Central 1, which is a reporting issuer and one of Canada’s domestic systemically important financial institutions. As well, Christie is a member of the Climate Governance Experts Network of the Canadian Climate Law Initiative, the Metro Vancouver Zero Emissions Innovation Centre investment committee, and the B.C. Securities Commission Corporate Finance Stakeholder Forum.

Christie is a regular TV, print, and radio media commentator on responsible business and investing.
