Christine Poirier currently works as a Manager of the National Policy Office for the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC). She represents the interests of PIPSC members in a wide range of labour relations matters, notably related to human rights, staffing, health and safety, and administrative investigations. Christine routinely advocates on behalf of union members in governmental dispute resolution processes and has also appeared before the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board. Prior to joining PIPSC, Christine worked in legal education and practiced labour and employment law at firms in Ottawa.
Christine holds a B.Soc. in Criminology from the University of Ottawa, an LL.B. from the University of Ottawa’s French Common Law Program, and an LL.M. from the University of Reading in the U.K. She was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2007.
