Christopher Edwards is a senior partner in the Employment, Labour & Public Law, and Workplace Investigations Groups at Soloway Wright LLP working from the firm’s Ottawa and Kingston offices. A seasoned litigator, he has over 20 years of experience conducting trials and hearings before administrative tribunals, arbitrators and the courts. Christopher has appeared at the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Federal Court of Appeal. He has extensive experience providing strategic advice and representation to employers in all areas of labour relations, including during union organizing campaigns and applications for certification and other proceedings at the Ontario Labour Relations Board. He regularly represents employers in collective bargaining negotiations and acts for employers across Ontario.

Christopher leads the firm’s Workplace Investigation practice. In that capacity he is regularly retained to carry out complex investigations or to guide organizations in the investigation process. His experience in producing top quality reports has led to retainers from major Canadian car manufacturers, capital corporations, NGOs, hospitals, broader public sector employers and large public utilities. He holds an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Investigations from Osgoode Hall Law School. He is a Past President of the Frontenac Law Association and was a member of the governing Council to the Ontario Bar Association. Christopher has also sat as the East Region Representative on the executive of the Federation of Ontario Law Associations. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for his work in Labour and Employment Law since 2021.
