David Louie is a lawyer, investigator, and mediator at Southern Butler Price LLP. His practice includes complex investigations into a wide range of workplace issues in both the public and private sectors.
David was a lawyer at one of Western Canada’s leading workplace law firms, practising in all areas of labour and employment law, including human rights, privacy, and workplace health and safety. He also has extensive practical in-house labour relations experience. He was Senior Legal Counsel at a healthcare employers’ association, where he appeared regularly in significant arbitration, mediation, and Labour Relations Board proceedings.
In addition to his litigation experience, David has been a negotiator in collective bargaining and an educator for workplace issues including discipline, performance management, and workplace investigations. He is an active member in the labour law community and sits on the Canadian Bar Association, British Columbia Branch, Workplace Investigations Executive.
