David Mombourquette has been the Chairperson of the New Brunswick Labour and Employment Board since 2021. He received his B.B.A. and LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1988. In 1990, he received a Master of Industrial Relations degree from the University of Toronto. David practised management-side labour and employment law in Toronto from 1990 to 1998, first with a major national law firm, and then as in-house counsel with the Liquor Control Board of Ontario and Ontario Hydro. He was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1998 and became a partner in the Halifax office of an Atlantic Canada regional law firm, representing both management and unions. He was called to the New Brunswick Bar in 2008 and was a partner in the Fredericton office of Atlantic Canada’s largest union-side law firm. From 2017 to 2021, David was Regional General Counsel for Atlantic Canada’s largest international construction union.
