David Woolias is a partner with Harris & Company. He acts for both public and private sector clients in all aspects of employment, labour relations, and human rights law. This includes advising on, drafting, and negotiating contracts of employment and independent contractor agreements, collective agreements, policies, and other terms and conditions of employment, with a particular emphasis on issues relating to the employment of senior executives. David also regularly represents employers in employment- and labour-related disputes, including before labour arbitrators, human rights tribunals, the courts, and administrative tribunals. David is a contributing author to the British Columbia Employment Law Handbook, 3rd Edition and is ranked as a Recommended Lawyer in the area of Employment Law by Lexpert Canada.
Prior to joining Harris in 2014, David practised for over five years at a major multinational law firm in Canberra, Australia, acting predominantly for public sector clients in employment and labour matters. He is qualified to practise law in both Canada and Australia.
David holds a BComm. and an LL.B. (First Class Honours, University Medal) from the Australian National University (2007) and an LL.M. from the University of British Columbia (2012). He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2015.
